These are pics of our "Wood Skins" banjo heads prototypes

A Cedar Top with a clear 5 Star head trimmed for fit. It sounds warm and woody on this incredible Stelling Red Fox 5 string.
The following mp3 is a sample of the sound. Left channel is the pickup system and Right channel is mic'd with a Neumann TLM 103.

An Englemann Top with a Remo head trimmed for fit. Quite punchy on this Gold Tone retrofitted with a Sullivan tone ring and Prucha hardware.
